Frequently asked questions about the website check

Does the check change anything on my website?
No. Helferlain only loads public pages, like a visitor. The checker identifies itself as HelferlainSEO and follows the website’s robots.txt.
How long does it take and how many pages does it read?
Usually one to two minutes. It reads up to 15 pages, starting at the homepage. The full analysis in the app reads many more pages and lists the affected addresses for every finding.
What happens to my data?
You need no account and no e-mail address. To keep the service from being overloaded, we keep a pseudonymised check value of your IP address for 48 hours; three checks a day are possible. The result stays available under its link for up to 30 days and is then deleted.
Why do I see an older result?
If the same website was checked in the last 24 hours, we show that result instead of loading the site again. This spares the website being checked.
What does the full report add?
Every finding with reason, action and affected pages, an action plan by effort and impact, the comparison with the last analysis and a PDF in your own design that you can hand to clients.
